Minutes for the Nene Valley Surgery Meeting held on 3rd December 2025

In the absence of BC, SW chaired the meeting
1. Minutes of the meeting held on 29th October were approve
2. Surgery update
· Registered patients 6976
· Appointments last month 4806
· Same day cancellations 575
· Missed appointments (DNAs) 84
Members discussed possible reasons for DNAs and thought that some patients may have tried to contact the surgery to cancel but were either unable to get a response to a phone call or were too ill to make a call.
3. PPG stall at Hermitage House Christmas Event on 13th December
· Admission to set up the PPG tombola stall from 10.30 a.m.
· Event from 12 noon until 4 p.m.
· Volunteers to help set up and man the stall = some offers already
· Gifts to be taken to/left at BC’s house – 3 Wainwright Avenue by 9th December

· SW to clarify arrangements with BC and circulate an email to update PPG members
· Members made the decision that the money made from the stall would go towards the Blood Pressure Monitoring machine requested by Dr Warren
· There was a discussion about whether we would need a PPG banner if we were going to have stalls ay events. It had already been suggested that we would book a stall for the Thrapston Fayre in 2026
· AR volunteered to approach Zephyr Flags and Banners who had made banners for the East Northants PPG Association to ask if they would be willing to make one for Nene Vall Surgery PPG
4. SW updated information about the new ways of providing care in Neighbourhoods.
· Wellingborough and surrounding villages had been selected as the first Neighbourhood in North Northants from April 2026. SW understood that East Northants may follow in April 2027
· It was agreed that it would be interesting to follow how the Wellingborough project progressed.
5. Any Other Business
· Members discussed their concern about the lack of information re who the new owners of Nene Valley Surgery and suggested that since the next meeting would be held at the Surgery information would be sought
The next PPG meeting will be held at the Surgery on Wednesday 28th January from 5.30 till 6.30 p.m.
